When I met Jen, she was running two of the leading preschool and daycare centers in San Francisco and planning to open a third site. Every system in the building ran through her. Invoices went out one family at a time. Applications lived in three documents from two different eras, and nobody could see how many hundreds of families were waiting. Mornings started with ninety minutes of inbox rather than the warmth on the floor that connected her to her families, students, and staff.
We built the fix together, in the Google Workspace she already paid for. One roster that's a source of truth, feeding invoicing, compliance-ready sign-in sheets, and contact groups. One enrollment tracker holding every application the school has ever received, with a waitlist she can pull from by age and start date. I'm a third-generation educator; teaching is the family business. I started as a founding teacher, moved into school and district leadership, then spent years supporting schools from inside nonprofits and edtech, including Summit Learning, Along by Gradient Learning and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, and Closegap. Fifteen-plus years in, the through-line is growth: helping organizations get bigger without losing what made them good.
I know what happens at that moment. The work you love gets buried under the everything-else, and you become the person everything routes through. I've been that person. And I've seen what's actually at stake: whether the people you serve still feel known, whether the belonging that made your place worth growing survives the growing.
So that's what I build: the operations, compliance, playbooks, and practical automations that make the next chapter feel like more of you, not less. The shape is the same whether you run a preschool, a pediatric clinic, or a real estate team: intake, scheduling, invoicing, records, and the people who need to know.
